This was the first flight of the original Viper model at El Mirage dry lake 11/19/1995. I was trying to get a full tail slide to show the free floating canard flipping around 360 degrees and I finally got one at timestamp 2:40.
This was a flight done in 2021 at my flying field in Prescott, AZ. This was the first time the model had flown in many years. It was a bit under powered and heavy up here at 5000 feet elevation so I probably will not fly it up here again.

In 2021 I decided to build a smaller foam model of the Viper so I could continue the experimentation and development without having to risk the original model. The original model struggled at the 5000 ft elevation where I live. This is the story of that project before first flight on the Foam Viper.

This was actually the 4th flight. The model has some nasty stall characteristics that have resulted in a crash before I could land it. The original Viper did not have this departure problem, thank goodness! I am still trying to evaluate the differences and understand the exact cause of this. I am probably done with this model its getting a bit rough after 3 rebuilds.
